To the President, Management team, staff, and especially the members.
Yesterday ended what, without doubt, has been the saddest week in my life when I said my final goodbye to my precious youngest daughter Gabi.
This took place at a memorial service in Westville. Whilst it was the saddest week, it finished on a note that humbled me, and gave me peace and inspiration.
In the region of 400 people came to celebrate Gabi’s young life making me awe inspired and so proud that she had meaning for so many people. I have to thank everyone at Royal Durban for the tremendous contribution in giving me this inspiration. From the condolence in the newspaper, to the honour of flying the flag at half-mast, the personal message from Johan, the scores of Sms and email, and phone calls from my fellow members, the presence of so many members at the service.
I hope I have thanked everyone for their support, and if not I am truly sorry for this mishap, it was not intentional.
I am proud to be a member of this great club and touched to know that so many people have shown me this support.
